Jonathan looked at her. "I won't tell anyone even the word you called them, that you told, me, I'll assume they're that bad," he said softly listening to Alec as well. He finally made it to the point to stop asking. He saw their faces and agreed to not talk about it anymore.
They questioned the candies he told them about. "Yeah and sometimes the flavor gets into the wax and you can chew on the wax to get all the flavor out," he said. He didn't want to talk about those curses anymore. Alice questioned the Razzels that he spoke of. "Well first you chew get them wet and then they're gun," he said. He smiled, "it doesn't just turn into gum though," he said softly. Alec said something of muggles being more. "We adapt, that's what it's called adaptation, we make what we need, I mean if we need to call a friend, we get on our cell phone, if we need to look something up we check out Google, I mean there's so many different ways we've adapted as humans," he said. "We fly on airplanes to other countries, drive cars to faraway places, make machines to do things for us," he told them. "Adaptation is a wonderful thing," he smiled.

Alec looked at Alice, and he immediately knew that she would tell him something about the Unforgivables. Kennedy might kill them if he knew they were telling his brother something about Unforgivables; but Alice knew how to withhold information, seeing as she just told Little Kennedy that they were called Unforgivables, then told him he should ask Kennedy. Alec almost chuckled at the thought of the first year Gryffindor muggle asking the seventh year Hufflepuff about Unforgivable curses.
"Yeah, maybe you can find them out in a book or something. Best let Kennedy know if you know something about them. They're dangerous; especially if you don't have magic" Alice nodded solemnly, it was true. The past of the curses, not many knew, but it was horrible for the muggles. It was horrible for anyone with muggle blood in them; unless they stood with purebloods in society.
"Really? So, you chew it like food, then it turns into gum? How does it become gum then if you have to chew? Does it react with something?" Alice asked, her eyes shining as she learned more about muggle candy. "Hm, you have anything like chocolate frogs or sugar quills?" Alec asked, his eyes narrowed in thought. Surely they had to have something similar; otherwise muggle candy, except for that one that turns to gum, would be boring to eat. "Adaptation. Like how we make new spells to help us out." Alice stated, smiling at the connection between wizards and muggles. Alec rolled his eyes, "I guess so."
Alec raised an eyebrow, as he looked at the Gryffindor. He would've never thought he'd ever be sitting down at breakfast, with a muggle, a Gryffindor one nonetheless. It wasn't as if he hated them, or anything; but he didn't like them. Alec was just in the middle, on whatever side he was pushed to. If he didn't like the muggle, he didn't like them. If he did, then he did. He just didn't truly care enough, unlike Alice. With a small smirk, he leaned back slightly, and closed his eyes. Perhaps Little Kennedy wasn't bad at all.

Jonathan shook his head. "I think knowing the fact that their unforgivable is all I need to know," he told them softly. He looked at them and was thinking how to answer their questions. "I'm no scientist but yeah, you chew it like candy to start and then it jsut turns to gum," he told them. He thought about the candies. "No, we don't, we have rock candy, which is sugar that takes the form of rocks," he said recalling them, "and it's hard like rock as well, but other than that nothing like Chocolate Frogs," he told them.
He shifted. "I need to go find Leon, would either of you like to come with me to go find him?" he asked standing up. It wasn't that he didn't like the conversation but he needed to give Leon a letter to their parents. He didn't have an owl like Leon so he wanted to give Leon his letter to send it off.

Alice smiled when she heard Jonathan comment about the names of the curses; he had a right to know they were unforgivable, and that alone helped establish the fact the curses were no good. "Oh, I think I understand it...well, just a little of it." She smiled slightly, and Alec rolled his eyes at her. "This is a miracle, our little bookworm Alice doesn't understand something for once!" Alice laughed slightly and pushed him, so he almost fell over. He pouted and glared, while she just laughed at him.
"So, rock candy; it won't break your teeth though, right?" if it were as hard as a rock usually was, then that would break your teeth, though it's supposed to be candy, so it shouldn't break it like that. "Hm, who knows, maybe they like breaking their teeth on good tasting rock?" Alec said, smirking as he thought about it. Alice shot him a glare, but her eyes shone with mirth; it was a funny image actually. Alec chuckled then, which made Alice crack a smile, something she felt bad for doing since Jonathan was right there. Though he may not have been offended, Alice still felt it was inappropritate of her to be so...rude.
When Jonathan spoke of Leon, however, Alice gupled nervously. Sure, she was excited to see him after lunch, but she was nervous about what transacted earlier on, during the end of their meeting. She had a feeling things weren't going to be the same, but she hoped that they'd be able to maintain at least their friendship. "Um, that's fine. I--um, I need to, um...I need to go back to my dorm room and grab some books." she stuttered for an answer shyly. Inwardly she cursed herself as Alec looked at her through narrowed, questioning eyes. She avoided his gaze, as well as Jonathans. "I'll see you both in the DADA room, after lunch." and with that, she hurried past, towards the entrance towards the Ravenclaw Tower.
"Tch. Alice..." Alec was able to growl lowly before she made it out of earshot, so she knew that he was going to want some answers later on. She continued on, hurrying towards the tower for no reason at all.
"Sorry; See ya at the DADA room, surely Kennedy can show you, since he's going to be there anyways. Later, Little Kennedy." Alec said, a smirk on his face. As he passed, he ruffled the muggles hair, messing it up slightly. As he exited the Great Hall, he turned towards the direction of the Ravenclaw Tower. Alec needed some answers, and Alice was the only one who can give them to him.

Jonathan nodded and pulled a piece out of his pocket. "It's one of my favorite types of candy," he said softly. It was a blue sugar of rock candy and he broke it into pieces and handed them to the twins, "try it," he said softly. He looked at Alec, "it's just sugar, not actually rock," he chuckled.
Alice didn't like the idea of going to go see Leon. "She spoke kindly of him, but she doesn't want to see him? Wonder what he did?" Jonathan questioned quietly and stood up from the table. He watched Alec leave and then then he went to leave as well. No need for him to stay anyways.
