When Alec talked about his sister, Juliet could see how proud of her he was. She figured that she had to be really smart to be in Ravenclaw, after all they didn’t let dumb kids into that house. ”That’s cool.” She said about the house. When she heard him say that she was only 5 minutes younger she felt kind of dumb herself. ”I thought most siblings, especially twins got put in the same house, how come you guys aren’t?” She questioned. She knew that her sister had been put in Gryffindor but that was because she wasn’t like the rest of her family. She figured that could be the reason why Alec was in a different house than his sister.
Juliet got a little upset when she heard him ask if she had any siblings. She still considered her sister a sibling but she was dead, so she didn’t think that counted anymore. ”I had a sister, she was four years younger than me when she died.” She knew he was going to ask what happened and if he asked she would tell him, but she wasn’t going to tell him the story without him asking. That would be rude and not right.
Juliet couldn’t help but laugh at Alec when she heard the next thing he said. ”Do I want to know the other things that you do?” She questioned him already knowing that she might not want to know. What guys did when they were bored, was a lot different than what girls did. And she knew that they could be disgusting and guys didn’t want to share that with girls.
She watched him fly over to one of the goal poat and she followed him. ”I wouldn’t either. We are Slytherin’s and we aren’t like the other house. They may have bad teams but we don’t” She said to him. ”I hope so. But you never know who the Head of Slytherin will pick.” She said to. After she said that she looked around the pitch. ”So do you want to play a little one on one?” She asked him. She knew that he was a Seeker but she figured he could handle a Quaffle.

Alec shrugged, he hadn't really known why they were put into different houses. "I guess it's because Alice is just that brilliant. Top of our year she is." That was the main reason he figured they were in different houses, but he realized it might be because they were so different, but so similar too. "Maybe it's because we're like opposites. She's understanding and sweet. Like the light side you could say. As her opposite, I'm like the dark one. Devious and cunning." He paused, trying to find a way to say the next phrase.
"Well, we're opposites; but we're the same. It's difficult to explain." he chuckled as he realized how odd that sounded. When Juliet talked about having a sister four year younger, that ended up dying, he felt a pang of sympathy for the fellow Slytherin. He flew next to her, "Look, I apologize for asking. I hadn't known." he was curious though, as to what happened. Should he have been through that with Alice, well, he wasn't sure what he'd still be doing. Alice was like his life, and he knew the love of a sibling was strong, especially when you are the older one. It didn't matter the age difference, the love was still the same between all siblings, twins or not. Twins just had more of a connection with each other than anyone else had.
"You were there, weren't you? When, when your little sister died?" Alec saw something there; something that he thought had to do with the thought of her sister. Was that sadness in her eyes; or maybe a remembrance of her sister. Either way, Alec felt something from Juliet, he saw something in her, that just told the story. Had it been him or anyone else with a sibling, it would've been the same.
When she asked if she wanted to know what it was he did besides hex students when he was bored, he chuckled. "I don't do anything the other guys do. I just...let's just say, I get myself into some big trouble...should I get caught" he smirked. He usually tested some new spells on students; new spells as in spells he made from other spells he learned. Most of them were dangerous; but he decided if they couldn't kill, then they were good to use. When he was at home and bored, was a totally different story though; he'd never get in trouble then, mostly because he and Alice were always studying. What, he didn't think it was anyone else's business.
"The Head of House will most definitely pick someone who won't bring the team down. They do want the right to boast about their team after all, right?" he chuckled. When she asked about a one on one game, Alec raised an eyebrow. He was at a disadvantage, but if there was anything his father taught him, and Alice, would be that a disadvantage could turn into an advantage. He smirked, "You're on."

Juliet listed to him say that him and his sister were opposite’s. She wasn’t surprised at that, most siblings she knew where opposites because they didn’t want to be compared to their other sibling, and wanted to be known for other things than their other sibling. At least that’s what Juliet believed from her experience. She had been the good child in the family always doing what her parents told her, and her sister had been the bad one by changing her views on things and not wanting to be in Slytherin. ”I get that. My sister and me where the same way. I was the one who followed all the Pureblood Slytherin rules, and she was the one who didn’t.” Juliet told him.
Juliet watched as he flew closer to her after she said her sister died. She figured he was trying to be nice and let her know that he was there if she broke down. ”It’s ok, it’s not your fault that she died.” Juliet told him after he told her he was sorry. She took a moment to answer the next question he asked. It wasn’t like she needed to think about the answer, she just had to composer herself enough so she wouldn’t cry when she said it. That was the last thing she needed to do in front of her teammate. ”Yes I was.” She felt weird leaving it there so she decided to tell him the story since she knew he was wondering what happened.
”Since I know you are wondering what happened, and I feel weird just saying I was there without giving any details I am going to tell you the story of what happened. But you have to promise me that you won’t tell anyone else not even your sister.” Juliet said to him before she started her story. She took a deep breath and composed herself once again, she then started her story. ”My sister was in her first year here at Hogwarts and I was in my fifth. She had got sorted into Gryffindor and a couple of the Slytherin male housemates were upset because they thought she was a blood traitor now and they wouldn’t be able to date her. Well I heard them talking one day that they were going to attack her with stunning spells. I tried to get to my sister fast enough but I couldn’t make it in time, and the stunning spells that the guys had thrown at her, caused her to die. Because her body wasn’t strong enough to fight all of them. The guys ended up getting expelled from the school, and were told they were never allowed to come back, and my family had to have a quiet funeral for my sister because we didn’t want the whole world to know what had happened here at the school. It sucked.” Once she finished Juliet closed her eyes for a second stopping the tears that were going to fall, if they stayed opened. She opened them a few seconds later so she knew where she was in air.
Juliet was glad that the next thing he said was semi funny because it made her laugh. ”Sure you don’t.” Juliet said about him not doing things normal guys did. ”what would get you in trouble?” she questioned him wondering what was so bad that he could get in trouble for.
”That is true. The head likes to brag just as much as we do.” Juliet said to him. Juliet waited for him to answer the question about playing a one on one game. She was happy when he agreed. ”Ok, I’ll go down and get the Quaffle, and release the Bludgers. I don’t think we should play with the Snitch. Mostly because I don’t want to lose because of it.” She told him. She hadn’t played a one on one Quidditch in a while so this was going to be challenging for her.

Alec nodded when Juliet agreed; most siblings were like that. He figured it was because they didn't want to be similar, since they would have that love-hate sibling relationship many have. For him and Alice, though, he thought it was because they were raised differently; Alice was raised by their father's house elves, and he was raised by their mother's. He grew up more like his mother, and Alice grew up more like their father. Their parents were like opposites, but they just went with the saying, opposites attract, whenever someone would ask how they ever fell in love. "I guess it's like that for everyone."
When he saw her answer his question about being there when her sister died, Alec saw the slight glistening of her eyes. "Look, I really am sorry." and he truly was; he wasn't one to apologize much anyways, so this only showed he meant his apology. He figured she didn't want his sympathy though, a Slytherin thing he guessed. When she went into her story however, Alec couldn't help the narrowing of his eyes when he heard about how she heard about the Slytherins stupid plan to stun her little sister. When she finished, Alec noticed she held back her tears, probably didn't want to seem so weak in front of a fellow Slytherin, and a teammate. He knew what Alice would say, she'd say it would be ok to cry once in a while; but he figured Juliet didn't want to hear it. Perhaps it was just a Slytherin thing. "You probably don't want to hear it, but I really am sorry for bringing your sister up. I hadn't really known; maybe I was just in the dark about it." he mumbled, thinking about how he could even miss a death in the school. Had he known, he wouldn't have asked.
However, when she laughed he grinned, an accomplished feeling of making her laugh when she was sad coursing through him. He got that feeling with almost every sad female he met, whether it be Juliet, or his grandmother; Alec just hated seeing females sad. "Well...let's just say there are many lower years that avoid me." It was true, the lower years he chose to be his test subjects avoided him as if he were the plague. The other lower years that avoided him were probably because he was an older Slytherin, and Alice said he seemed intimidating at times.
Looking back at Juliet he smirked, "Ah, bragging rights. Everyone loves them, especially when you can brag about it for a while, right?" Since the Quidditch Cup is only for one year, the house that won got to brag for the rest of the time, until another house won it. If that house won it again, then they got even more bragging rights. When she mentioned not playing with the snitch Alec chuckled, "Ah, fine." he began to descend down, "Only fair I help, and plus, we both get the same starting point, right?" he called back to her, a smirk on his face and an eyebrow raised.
